A talented modern rock band originally from New Braunfels, Texas. Their song "Kiss Me" from their third album (eponymous) received considerable airplay due to its prominence in the mostly forgettable Pygmalion remake called "She's All That".

Founding members are Matt Slocum and Leigh Bingham.

Sixpence None the Richer

A melodic, lyrically intense band. Sixpence is best known for "Kiss Me". Their music has appeared in movies and several tv shows, including Dawson's Creek. "Kiss Me" was even played at a Royal Wedding. They take their name from a story by C.S.Lewis

Their last album was produced by Contemporary Christian Music's pre-eminent producer and ever satirical Steve Taylor

Although known for their hit "Kiss Me", Sixpence has been around for the better part of a decade, recording three albums, an EP and a number of singles.

After bad experiences with the music industry, CCM pioneer Steve Taylor signed the band as the flagship act on his new Squint label. Thanks to Taylor's direction, vision, and dedication, the band's songs were featured in countless movies and tv shows, which for the first time brought the band's intelligent lyrics and melodies to a mass audience.

They take their name from a story by C.S.Lewis.
