Linuxcare made,
parodying the
3Com "
Simply Palm" ad campaign (which showed a
nude woman holding a
Palm Pilot); "Simply Supported" shows a
woman wearing only a
bra holding a
boxed set of a
Linux distribution.
This ad caused some controversy over intellectual property, because the original version used a box of Red Hat Linux, which displeased Red Hat Software. The revised version of the ad has the woman holding a Debian box.
