Roman Catholic Mass without singing. Abolished by the liturgical reform of 1969.

In a Silent Mass, the liturgy was recited, quietly, by the priest, with only a ministrant to provide the responses. On occasion, Silent Mass was celebrated entirely without the presence of a congregation.
