Siddha-asana

Translation: yoga posture meaning "the accomplished posture"

Instructions:

1. Sit on the floor with the legs stretched out straight in front.

2. Bend your left knee and bring the left foot in as high as you can comfortably rest it on the right thigh.

3. Bend the right knee and bring the right foot in as far as you can under the left leg.

Comments: This is a good substitute to the well-known lotus posture, which is very difficult for most people. The sidda-asana allows a peaceful mind during your meditation. It helps to establish an equilibrium throughout the body and mind while stretching the legs and pelvic area.
