Shannon Lee Tweed

Canadian actress and model, born March 10, 1957, in St John's, Newfoundland.

Shannon Tweed's first claim to fame came when she posed as Miss November 1981 for Playboy Magazine. The following year, she embarked on an acting career, in film and in the television show Falcon Crest. That same year, she became Playmate of the Year for 1982.

As an actress, Tweed's career has not exactly been stellar. In fact, she has largely starred in low-budget films (a memorable example: Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death, from 1988).

A brief love affair with Playboy's founder, Hugh Hefner, didn't last. In 1984 Tweed became involved with Gene Simmons, of KISS fame. She has two children by Simmons, Nicolas (1989) and Sophie (1992).
