Observation: If you're going to staple trouser cuffs, (especially black trouser cuffs) it should always be done so that the two bent ends of each staple are on the inside of the cuff, where they won't catch on anything but your own leg (or sock). However, even applied very carefully, evenly spaced and in a perfectly straight line, staples leave little silver bars that glint in the light, so as you walk, they pull everyone's eyegaze down and make them wonder how you ever got that big without learning how to sew.

The decision is yours, of course. But if you decide to staple, at least make sure that both legs are the same length.
