Through the course of recent
politlcal discussions I've had, I realized that there is a huge problem with the concept of "
sending a message" to the
republicrats.
It seems to me that the message that all those who would vote for the third party candidates would like for them to get isn't the message they'll get at all.
We'd like for the establishment to figure out that we're tired of the same old shit they've been feeding us for the past 100+ years, and that we want the actual representative government we'd been promised in the Constitution.
The message they'll take from this, however, will have nothing to do with the way our government is formed/run, and only will effect the rhetoric they use when trying to get elected. They'll do exactly as they've done for as far as I can remember, put some pretty-boy/girl-talking-head up there, saying what they think we want to hear, and once they've convinced us to vote for them, they return to being the same old political wonks we've come to know and loathe.
