The simplest spin in figure skating.
Done by swinging the free leg hard around and pulling in with the arms so that the body rotates over the skate.
The spin, like all spins, is done on with the part of the blade directly below the the ball of the foot.
The important aspect of this spin is to center it, so the skater does not travel on the ice. This is done with perfect balence to create small circles scratched on the ice.
One can also raise ones hands above the head to create an interesting look.
