A sausage biscuit is really a simple concoction. In its most basic form, it is a combination of some form of biscuit and a single sausage patty. This so-called breakfast sandwich can be found at many fast food restaurants. Generally the sausage biscuit is a greasy buttery breakfast snack, due to the lack of complete, balanced nutrition. However, McDonald's will try to sell you a sausage biscuit with a large cup of coffee and an order of hash browns and call it a square meal.

There are, of course, many variations on this basic recipe, including the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit and the Sausage, Ham, and Bacon Buttermilk Biscuit.

Caution: eating too many fatty/greasy foods will cause plaque to form in your arteries, leading to heart disease and even stroke.
