Saucy Mary is famous for suspending a chain from
Kyleakin on the
Isle of Skye to
Kyle of Lochalsh on the
Scottish mainland and charging gold to ships who wanted to pass.
After building a small
castle above
Kyleakin, Saucy Mary was supposedly buried in a
cairn on the nearby mountain,
Ben na Caillith, but I couldn't see any sign of her up there.
