A popular Nissan engine, used in many models, and is pretty much the workhorse of Nissan. The SR20DE is a dual overhead cam, inline, four-cylinder engine displacing 1998cc (121.878cid) with multi-point electronic fuel injection, and a compression ratio of 9.5:1. It gets about 140 horsepower at 6400 rpm, and 132 lb.ft. of torque at 4800 rpm. Its small and lightweight nature make it optimal for use in many compact and subcompact cars. Additionally, this engine can be outfitted with a single turbocharger, making the SR20DET engine (the compression ratio in a standard SR20DET is lower, at 8.3:1).
