The guitar-style AX-1B features a 45-note velocity sensitive keyboard with switchable velocity curves and splitting/layering. An "expression bar" resembles a ribbon controller and features controls for pitch bend and modulation. There are also buttons for octave up/down.
Built-in GS control is included, with 32 preset and 32 user patches to use with GS modules.
The unit can run on batteries, and a limited edition black version was released.
