I've been talking to one of my long time friends when the subject came up of how we first got to know each other. We are both wondering exactly what words between "broke the ice." This led me to ponder what exact words eased the tension between me and all of my long-time relationships, and reflect on how amazing it is that what was most likely just one phrase to ease the tension between two people blossomed into a strong relationship. It leads me to wonder what would have happened had we not just had a chance encounter and one of us not ventured to say the words that "broke the ice."
