Coastal town in Northeast England, near Middlesbrough, Guisborough, Saltburn and Marske.

The former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Mo Mowlam MP has represented the Redcar constituency in the houses of parliament since 1987

Chief source of employment was formerly the British Steel works (now owned by Corus) but the security in those jobs has long since vanished. Redcar also plays host to horse racing at its local race course.
