I guess I've seen it all..... In my Spanish class, every so often we have to get up and sing a famous Disney song in front of the class - in Spanish of course. Well, this particular time it just so happened to Aladdin's "A Whole New World's" turn:

The presentations went pretty much as usual. People got up sang like they were completely embarrassed and didn't want to be there, then stepped down (the usual teenage attitude towards the universe). Then my friend, let's call him Mitch, and his group stepped up to the plate. Suddenly the room us filled with guttural noises from Mitch vaguely resembling that of a techno-drum beat followed by loud gulping. Then a guy and two girls (let's call them Nate, Callie and Marta) bust on to the seen and pretend to be rappers.

Nate raps out "Yo te puedo ensar" (I can show you the world in Spanish) follwed by the rest of the sung with the two girls intermittently joining with their "Uh-huh's" and "Oh Baby." But you couldn't really hear very well. The entire class was laughing too hard. All in all, this is one of the funniest experiences I've ever had and I look forward to when we do another famous Disney song. Up next will probably be something like The Hillbilly Rendition of Marry Poppins.

Hence how I have seen Aladdin rapped to in Spanish.....
