Born James Southworth. Bass player and, along with Dave "the Snake" Sabo, the principal songwriter for the late 80's hard rock band, Skid Row. Though he no longer wears it, Rachel Bolan is commonly remembered as "the guy with the chain from his ear to his nose."

Having come up from the punk rock tradition, Bolan claims never to practice. He plays his bass with a plectrum. He takes his pseudonym from Marc Bolan, of T. Rex fame, as an homage.
