Fun Fact: There are no rabid wombats. Really! Y'see, rabies is not native to Australia and doesn't exist there, given that carriers of it aren't likely to cross a frickin' ocean to bite a kangaroo. The only wombats that could possibly get infected are zoo specimens, and thus are not likely to get infected either.
