A term used to describe a very small nut (aka chock) used in Trad Climbing. Another name for an rp is also peanut. Most often these are used for crack climbing when the crack is too small to place a "normal" sized nut. Because of the small surface area of the rp, which causes a decrease in reliability they are often placed with several other's in the general area as backup.
