At the
University of Texas, a Q Drop is the only way to
drop a
course after the
12th class day. You must get the
Dean of your
school's
approval along with the approval of your
professor. The professor assigns you a
Q for the dropped course if your
grades are
satisfactory, and an
F if they are not. Either a Q or an F will appear on your
transcript depending on the prof's decision.
This is the perfect solution for the hotshot Liberal Arts freshman who decided he wanted to take Astronomy for Engineering and Science majors just because he could.
