At the University of Texas, a Q Drop is the only way to drop a course after the 12th class day. You must get the Dean of your school's approval along with the approval of your professor. The professor assigns you a Q for the dropped course if your grades are satisfactory, and an F if they are not. Either a Q or an F will appear on your transcript depending on the prof's decision.
