Project Runeberg (http://www.lysator.liu.se/runeberg/) is an open initiative to publish free electronic editions of classic Nordic or Scandinavian literature on the Internet. It was founded in December 1992 by Lars Aronsson, who still coordinates the project. It has a small editorial office at Linköping University in Linköping, Sweden.

Originally inspired by the American Project Gutenberg, this Scandinavian counterpart has not been able to output as large numbers of e-texts - only a few hundred of them, most of which are in Swedish. Since 1998 the project outputs electronic facsimile editions in addition to plain e-texts.

Too bad Everything2 doesn't support external links.
