The Post Office Protocal is a method of retrieving mail off of a remote system. It is very useful for dialin customers who do not wish to stay connected while they read their mail. Several programs that use the POP3 protocal are Eudora, MS exchange /Outlook / Internet mail, Netscape, Pegasus, and more.
