1. Finnish for "the Nordic countries".

2. Finnish insurance company, founded in 1891. The company's shares have been quoted on the Helsinki stock exchange since 1912 (the year in which HEX was founded). The services offered by the company include insurances and claims and risk management. The business is divided into three customer-group specific parts: private households (home, vehicle, private accident and travel insurances), corporate clients (for example property, business interruption, liability insurances) and major clients (insurance services for major clients in Finland and abroad). Additionally, the Foreign Insurance function develops Pohjola's insurance business in the Baltic states and Russia.

3. Finnish surname. For example Pekka Pohjola, the world-famous bass player. (Thanks to stupot for reminding me about this :-)
