Label sporting such winning acts Monks of Doom, Camper Van Beethoven, Donner Party and The Seymores. Camper Van Beethoven founded the label in 1985 and closed her down when they disbanded in '89. In 1994 the company was re-started under the control of David Lowery and Velena Vega. For five years it existed as an imprint of Virgin Records but in 1999 wound up their contract and Pitch A Tent is now and forever more an indie label.
