Physician Assistants are health care professionals licensed to practice
medicine with a physician supervision. The scope of the PA's practice corresponds to the
supervising physician's practice. A PA may take medical histories, perform physical examinations; order and prescribe medication. While the physician will typically handle the more complicated medical cases, PAs handle the same type of patient as their physician employers.
