Percy Pigs : Soft Fruit Gums

Yummy sweets, made for Marks and Spencers stores exclusively, and I think only available in the UK. They're shaped like pigs faces .. chewy faces .. with yummy little ears.

The back of a packet lists the following flavours:
I was first introduced to them by a junior school teacher, Mrs. Bannister, who taught me Latin and classics. She gave us vocab tests with Percy Pigs as a reward for full marks, along with Jelly Sharks. We all loved Percy Pigs though, and Jelly Sharks were always left in the packet.

The purist will argue that one should eat the ears first, then the face .. but lately I've taken to sucking on the whole thing until it goes all gooey .. mmmmmmmm ..

Thankfully, these divine confections are also available in branches of Marks and Spencer here in Ireland. The faces are opaque pink, while the ears are translucent pink for some reason. They are "made with real fruit juice", which perhaps goes some way towards explaining why they are superior to all other sweets.
