Pablo Cesar Aimar is one of Argentina's emerging football stars who is making a big reputation for himself in the world of soccer. Born on 3rd November 1979 at Rio Cuarto,Cordoba in Argentina,Aimar is nicknamed Payaso or the clown.His debut in the Argentinian premier division, Clausura season was on 11th August 1996 for the Argentinian club River Plate against Colon de Santa Fe.The first goal came two years later on 20th february 1998 against Rosario Central.He attracted the attention of football scouts in the 2000 Apertura season with 9 goals and 19 assists. Still young and gifted, Aimar plays for the club Valencia FC in Spain as an attacking midfielder/forward.The club bought him in 2001 and he was instrumental in taking the club to their first Primera Liga title (Spain's domestic championship) in 40 years. Although injuries have contributed to lesser number of appearances in 2002-2003 season, he still produces the Argentinian magic that the world has seen from the likes of Maradona and Di Stefano.
