PHPix is a free
PHP-based photo album software package. It allows you to upload your photos via
FTP or secure copy (
scp), or however you prefer to get your images to your server. It then automatically makes
thumbnails and different-sized versions of the image so users with different browser sizes can see the images well.
PHPix uses either
gd or
ImageMagick to process the images, and the only other requirement, besides
PHP of course, is that you can give the web server (
Apache, etc.) write access in order to cache the auto-generated images.
