Aside from being a kind of fish, as Webster 1913 says, Orf is also a virus of the poxvirus family.

More specifically, it belongs to the genus Parapoxvirus; subfamily Chondropoxvirinae; family Poxviridae.

It is a skin disorder, usually affecting goats and sheep, which also can affect humans which handle these animals.
