On three separate occasions, I gave up my life so others could live

A nodeshell challenge by mblase.

I am a very busy person, and I am off doing things all the time. Ever since I moved out to Fort Collins, Colorado, I have been struggling with a full college course load while raising three kids, including one teenaged daughter that has discovered boys are not as yucky as she had previously thought.

Three times I have set aside what I was doing when I saw a Bloodmobile looking for donations. One time I was on the way to the movies, and I set aside my life to help others out. There is a very severe blood supply shortage in the United States right now, and I decided that I could give up my life for an hour to help someone else live.

I'm now on a mailing list, and when they have another Bloodmobile at my college, I'll be in line again.
