Omicron Persei 8 is a fictional planet from the animated television series Futurama. The planet is based around an actual star, Omicron Persei, which is located in the constellation Perseus. It is the home world of the Omicronians, a species of large, somewhat reptilian creatures who are quick to anger and invade other planets. The planet is ruled by emperor Lrr and his wife Ndnd. While not much is known about the planet itself, it was discovered in "The Problem With Popplers" that the Omicronian young are born on an uncharted separate planet. In the episode "When Aliens Attack" it is shown that Omicron Persei 8 is located just over 1000 light years away from Earth when a 1000 year old TV broadcast of "Single Female Lawyer" fails to reach the planet. There are at least three moons of Omicron Persei 8, noted when Lrr tells Ndnd "One of these days, Ndnd, bang! zoom! Straight to the third moon of of Omicron Persei 8!" in "Spanish Fry".
