In a parallel universe, lost in time and lost in space, I'd like to think that I mix a dry Sapphire martini (single olive) for my father, maybe on the Great Wall of China (why not?). After he graciously gives me the gin-soaked olive I tell him how sorry I am and how I'm just not complete without him around. And then he forgives me. Which still doesn't change anything, of course.
