Not to be confused with the Orwellian newspeak, nowspeak does not have a centralized source, and furthers no political, social, or ideological cause. The term nowspeak describes words generated by the rapidly accelerating pace of society, and is often usergroup specific. Nowspeak does not lend itself to attempts at documentation, as words develop and evolve as integral tools of the very technology and social fabric that they serve, and may disappear from usage as rapidly as they appear. Examples of nowspeak often develop from disparate sources; from the corporate boardroom, the hacker's lair, the general media, or from within the seemingly cryptic world of computer language development and programming.
