Takemura's sound (as Child's View and onwards) oscillates between a sparseness punctuated by Oval-esque skritching and a full organic bloom. Scope was the first album to appear on the Thrill Jockey label and is a beautiful work of experimental electronic music that is largely sympathetic, baiting the listener with brief melodies and periods of warmth before the next foray into minimalism. Between this incarnation and his work as Child's View, his palette has been distinctive though somewhat limited. This is clear in his remixes, which have a tendency to overpower the material's original sound during production.

I would like to add Yo La Tengo - Dan Electro to m1a9366b's list of remixes.

Revision: "Dan Electro" should actually be spelled "Danelectro 2". Thanks flamingweasel.
