Noah's Ark Lullaby: a song about animal revolution

i jump on a trampoline
and i jump toward the stars
i grab one
light my cigar

i hop in circles
around my life
eyes surround me
twinkling eyes

belonging to
kangaroos and crickets
rabbits, toads, and frogs
and grasshoppers too

wielding weapons
like plastic spoons
and boomerangs
holding signs that say "revolution now"

they put me in a rocketship
to keep me safe from harm
i ask if you can come too

they send us to outer space
and proceed to erase the human race
does that mean we've won the human race?

they meet us on the moon
where we have a floating picnic
and play hopscotch till dawn

now our lives
now our lives are trampolines
