A newspaper covering much of the New York metropolitan area, including Long Island and New York city.

There are many who say the newspaper is in the midst of an editorial conflict, with some extremely conservative columnists and some extremely liberal reporters.

It is not always so cut and dried. Columnists range from the conservative Bill Reel to the liberal Robert Reno. The news section will contain surprises for both sides.
