The National Federation of Subpostmasters NFSP is the organisation that represents the interests of British subpostmasters, who operate 97% of the national post office network, and negotiates on their behalf with the Post Office Ltd which is the part of Consignia or the Royal Mail that runs the network.
It has formally registered as an independent trade union although its members are technically engaged in running their own businesses rather than being employees.
The Federation also operates a benevolent fund that offers temporary financial assistance to subpostmasters and their famillies who are in financial need.
