Natalie Merchant

Natalie Merchant is a folk/alternative singer formerly with the band 10,000 Maniacs. She has enjoyed a successful solo career with the popular releases Tigerlily and Ophelia. Some of her better-known singles are Carnival, Wonder, Jealousy and Kind and Generous.

10,000 Maniacs started out in Jamestown New York and were relatively unknown until they came out with their CD Our Time In Eden. The 10,000 Maniacs went on without Natalie with the singer Mary Ramsey but have yet to produce anything even close to the original 10km works. Hey older music is much more young sounding duh and has more energy and anger and angst, some might say it was better.
