A University located in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is one of the newest Universities in Scotland established in 1992. It is also one of the largest with well over 11,000 students and its business school is one of the largest of its kind in the East Of Scotland. The university has 15 campuses located in the south west of Edinburgh; the four main campuses are Craiglockhart, Merchinston, Craighouse and Sighthill. The university was named after the Scottish mathematician John Napier and the Merchinston campus is built around his residence.

Craiglockhart is most famous as a psychiatric hospital during World War I, where shell shocked soldiers (officers, mind, not enlisted men) went for the "talking cure". War poet Wilfred Owen met his fellow poet and idol Siegfried Sassoon there while they were both under treatment.
