Miho became a young star in the 1980's with her booming
pop career. Within a year of discovery (1985), she starred in a film (
Be-Bop High School) and had a smash hit ("C"). The next few years followed with
17(!) pop albums of varying quality. Everyone thought she was heading for the idol graveyard, until something happened. She changed and matured into a successful
jazz singer and landed some pretty serious roles in
TV dramas. Since then, another 23 (!) albums have been released from this hit-machine. She continues to tour, and has frequent concerts in Japan.
These days, she appears mostly in TV dramas, but only the top rated ones as she is in a position to pick only thos she approves of. She is married to musician Tsuji Jinsei.
