Myspace Girl is a song by The Afters. It is track six on their album Never Going Back to OK, which was released February 26, 2008.

It is an extremely catchy song, and it is very hard to resist singing along to it, even when you do not know the words. I am not a good singer and as such try hard not to sing around other people, but hearing this song I sing at least the chorus.

It's also really, really stalkerish, but it is disguised as something with puppy dogs and butterflies frolicking in fields of daises so you don't feel like a scary person when you listen to it. It is also the true story of their former bass player's meeting of his wife. They were in California and apparently there is a fast food thing called In-N-Out Burger. It's open late so after a show The Afters and another band when there to get food.

The other band had various people with them, and one of them was the lady who the song was written about. The bass player sat at one end of the room and made eyes at the girl at the other end. They didn't talk, just looked at each other for most of the night, and eventually they all dispersed for their abodes. The bass player got very angry with himself at this, believing that he had seen the girl of his dreams but had lost his chance with her; he would never see her again.

The chorus is the best thing about this song. I love it. Love love love.

Jokingly, the other members of The Afters told him to find her on Myspace. So he did. He messaged her and she messaged back and one thing led to another. They met and decided they really did love each other. They then got a joint Myspace, just as it says in the song, and they got married.

Of course, some of the lyrics are just downright scary. If I had a purple dress, I wouldn't like a stranger to know about it.

Probably the best thing about this song, other than the lovely story and great music, is the video clip. It is a very happy song.
