The most beautiful public square in America, according to some book I read. It's in downtown Baltimore (smack in the middle of Mount Vernon, oddly enough). Around the square are the Walters Art Gallery, the Peabody Institute (from which Tori Amos was expelled), and a Methodist church which looks like the architect didn't know when to quit. Remember the shot in Sleepless In Seattle where we pull back from Meg Ryan and Rosie O'Donnell and you see all sorts of beautiful buildings? That's it. The whole area is centered around the Washington Monument.
