A group of languages frequently considered as a subfamily of the Southeast Asian family of languages. Included in the subfamily are Cambodian (or Khmer); Mon (or Talaing), spoken in Myanmar; and a number of other languages, such as Cham of Cambodia and southern Vietnam, and Khasi of Assam, in India.
