I actually used to work for Microsoft (no, I wasn't brainwashed; I was a contractor and only the permanent employees get the full treatment), and the fire alarms were just alarms. The real cameras were fiber-optic lines in the air conditioning vents in the celing (ever see Anti-Trust?). Security said nothing about them, except that there were at least 400 cameras in the Irving, TX campus watching you at any given time. Creepy, ain't it?
