The
Memphis Mafia were the men that worked for
Elvis. He kept a group of men -- more than just
body guards -- at his side at all times. These men ranged in age from young to old, and though they were treated like shit most of the time by Elvis, they were extremely
loyal.
At one point, Elvis hired a man for the sole purpose of starting his car every morning, in case there was a hidden
bomb and it was going to
explode.
These men worked for him for little or no money for years. When Elvis died, these men were left without any skills, money, or
hope.
