MechWarrior 3 is the third game in MechWarrior computer game series. It was released in 1999 by MicroProse, Zipper Interactive and Microsoft (who currently seems to release all computer games based on FASA's worlds.)

Like all MechWarrior games, It's based on BattleTech rules and world.

Graphics have improved (3D card support! Oooooh...), and as a radical new improvement, 'Mechs can now fall over! Also, some cool new things were introduced, like coolants and Alpha Strike key command. However, some stupidities were around: Music was nowhere near as interesting as in MW2, AI sucked, missions were unimaginative and general storyline was not as deep as in MechWarrior 2 and its follow-ups. It's not a bad game, however, but it could have been a lot better.

(My personal whine: Can't play as a clanner, even when there are Clan OmniMechs! Damn!)

The next game in series, MechWarrior 4, is (judging from peoples' opinion, have't tried it yet) slightly better, especially graphics-wise, but still not good as MechWarrior 2.
