Marymount Manhattan College is a small undergraduate liberal arts school located in New York City on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Named by U.S News College Report as the Most Diverse Liberal Arts college in the country in 2003. Known best for its performing and communication programs. MMC was originally a city branch of Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York until it became an independent school in 1961, thus losing its religious affiliation. Students live a nice walk from campus on the main residence hall, a gigantic 45 story building on 55th Street. Among the many well established actors, dancers, writers and filmmakers that MMC has graduated, they are also responsible for the college education of Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman ever nominated for Vice President of the United States of America.
