Cellist to the Gods, or at least to couple of
outstanding English goth bands:
Siouxsie and the Banshees,
This Mortal Coil.
He's also done work with other 4AD artists,
including Kristin Hersh, Dead Can Dance,
Lush, the Wolfgang Press, Heidi Berry, and
the Throwing Muses.
Currently, he is a member of Therapy.
I admire his range, and I love his choice of bands.
I'll also admit to being a blatant cello bigot, and
am glad that he's found such steady employment
leanding its beautiful sound to these bands.
In his own words:
I remember going to the rehearsal studio and
[Therapy] were expecting a fifty year old
guy from an orchestra to turn up in a tuxedo
and bow-tie or something. I wandered in and I
think Andy was really shocked that I was wearing
a Pigface t-shirt and had an electric cello.
They were all somewhat taken aback.
