A capitalistic and Darwinistic concept that while any idea may be valid or invalid (or in between for composite ideas) upon casual inspection, will not have its value determined by one appraisal. The idea (model, theory, argument, or ideology) floats on its own merits or sinks, by constant appraisal in a benign environment. The neutral environment and aggregate statistical evaluation in thoery eliminates biases. In a boolean situation, when the educated guess' Nash equilibrium converges with the idea (couldn't I just say "consensus"?)
