The Isle of Man. The name comes from Manannan, the Celtic god of the sea, who was supposed to live on the island.

Mann with a double n is used as a contraction for "the Isle of Man" in phrases such as "All Mann is waiting for . . ." or "Castletown - Ancient Capital of Mann".
