Claire Danes said this after she went to
Manila to film the horrible movie
Brokedown Palace. In a
Vogue interview Danes said that Manila was a "
ghastly and weird city." And that it "
smelled of cockroaches, with
rats all over and that
there is no sewage system, and the people
do not have anything—
no arms,
no legs,
no eyes.
She later apologised, but not before her movies were banned from the city of Manila. The ban was later removed, which made it possible for Brokedown Palace to be shown in Philippine theaters. Watching the movie caused many Filipinos to hope that lovely Claire would make another faux pas, so that we have a reason to reinstate the ban.
